2.12.13

End of the year and as busy as ever.

Hello, did you miss me? ;)
Well it's been a long month with my little sister's second birthday, thanksgiving, finishing NaNoWriMo, and find out today is the second day of a new month!! And that it's the last month of 2013!!! I was wondering if people were starting to think of new year resolutions over the next month because guys, were so close to a new year. I started thinking over the last year and half, and what I had learned about people and how to reach them. And to add to that, I heard something the other day about how Christ's body spends more time celebrating Christ's birth, than talking about His return.  Many times forgetting if he came to die and wash us of our sins, then he'll come back for those who he has paid for and have been washed by him. And as we move into the end of the year and start buying presents, and start thinking of new year resolutions like, lossing weight, spending more time with our families, and saving more money, and all of that, I think we need to start seeing what we can do to spread the fact that Christ is coming back. And we know not the day nor the hour of his return.
So here are a couple things I'm going to try doing, and you can keep me accountable, or join me if you want. :)

• Praying more! (We many times forget to pray for those in need and just think God can see it, he'll do something!)

• Read the bible more. (Since this is the time of Hannakah, the festival of light. My father has been reading scriptures about light, and Gods word is our light, so shouldn't we read it more?)

• I'm going to try stepping out more and telling others about The Lord. (We get so caught up in things of the world, that the world laughs at us because we don't live what we say we believe. We need to tell people, and if we can't say anything, we need to be able to live it!)

• I want to blog more and tell you what God has done lately.  (We all get busy and forget to encourage others in what he has done. So I'm going to try more to tell others what He's done.)

• I'm going to try doing things that allow God to use me. (My father noticed that God sends people to other countries to be missionary's, doing the same thing they were doing at home. What are you doing that God would send you some where that you could do it some more?)

I know that's only five things, and I have others like get my drivers license, caught up in my school, make some new friends and such. But those five will change your life if you pray for God to do them every morning (or what ever time you get up. ;)). Sometimes it hurts, and when you ask God to help you in a certain spot, it seems he sends even more of it your way! But we have to lean on his grace and remember to ask for it everyday of our life's.

With a full head, I'm off to write another blog post, and talk to my friend about something she starting next year! (If you want to find out about it you can go to twitter and search @graftedmag and you'll see peeks of my friend's idea that will be coming out in the new year!!! And if you want to get her attention, write a short thing about God on twitter and hashtag #wearegrafted!)

Later lovely people,
~ Joannah
